Welcome to the community of Stepping Stones Montessori School--an Augusta, Maine private school with Montessori programs for Pre K to Grade 3, as well as home of Cushnoc Academy at Stepping Stones, a mastery-based education for Upper Elementary (Gr 4-6) and Middle School (Gr 7/8). We support and challenge students in their steps toward mastery.

Recipient of the State of Maine’s Childcare Infrastructure Grant
Did you know? We were one of the first ten childcares in Maine to receive funding to build a new addition. We expanded our preschool, adding three state of the art, new classrooms. In addition to 3 to 6 year olds, We now provide care for 2 year olds in a beautiful, peaceful space, with Montessori elements, and caring staff.
